June is the start of the best season of the year - SUMMER! Not only does sunny, warm weather finally unpack its bags and stay a while, but summer activities go into full force. From June to August, a wide array of events and festivals for residents of Stafford, VA, and surrounding cities, are offered and we're here to share them with you so you can have your #BestDayEver!
June
On June 21, come celebrate the first day of summer at the Adventure Brewing Company! From 8pm-10pm, the First Day of Summer Bash will feature live music by country duo Diggs and Burns, ice cold brews by Adventure Brewing Company, and tasty quesadillas by Phat Yummies Quesadilla Cantina On Wheels. This is a party you won't want to miss out on!
On June 29, the Fredericksburg, VA World Heritage Festival will be taking place at Riverfront Park! Have your pick of delicious ethnic food while enjoying cultural performances on the main stage and watching your kids learn through available cultural activities. Over 60 artists will be onsite with a wide range of products including arts and crafts, fine art, jewelry, and ceramics. This event will go from 11am-6pm, rain or shine!

If you love movies and wine, we suggest marking July 6 off on your calendar for Potomac Point Winery's Sipping Under the Stars event! Sip on wine and cuddle up on the vineyard while enjoying the showing of romantic comedy How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Arrive early for dinner at the Le Grand Cru Bistro and a wine tasting in the tasting room. After dinner, claim your spot, enjoy a glass of wine and relax watching the sunset as early as 7pm. The movie will begin after the sun sets, so timing may vary. Now, that's the definition of a perfect summer night!
The Fredericksburg Area Museum (FAM) is bringing back their recurring Friday night Sounds of Summer concert series and, we gotta say, they have a lot of awesome artists in the lineup! In July, there are four concerts featuring the Fredericksburg Concert Band (July 5), 44 Diesel (July 12), The English Channel (July 19), and VaMos (July 26). Each concert is located at the Fredericksburg Area Museum and goes from 7pm-9pm.

On August 10, from 12pm-6pm, join Riddick Entertainment and G3 Community Services for their 5th annual Summer Festival! This family-friendly community event is free and will be located at Mountain View High School in Stafford, VA. With food trucks, vendors and craft tables, live music, pony rides for kids, face painting and more, we have no doubt this event will be a day full of fun for all!
On August 24, the 2019 Cigar, Bourbon & Beer Festival will be taking place at the Fredericksburg Agricultural Fairgrounds. Enjoy a day full of craft beer and bourbon tastings from some of Virginia's best breweries and distilleries. Hogshead Cigar Lounge will be showcasing various cigars from their lounge including brands like Esteban Carreras, La Aurora and Rocky Patel. This event starts at 4pm and ends at 9pm. Come early and stay late!
Summer of Embrey
All throughout the summer, we will also be having our annual Summer of Embrey events right here in the heart of our community. Scheduled events include movies in the park, café characters, yoga sessions, Reptiles Alive demonstrations, music on the patio, Star Party (hosted by Rappahannock Astronomy Club), Stafford County K9 demonstration, magic shows, and our closer, the Touch a Truck event.
