When you live at Embrey Mill, you don’t have to go very far to find adventure and fun. National Harbor is the perfect day trip for the family. It’s just 40 miles north of Embrey Mill. The Harbor offers restaurants, entertainment, shopping and more.
There is snow falling in the mountains so now is the time to enjoy the wide variety of outdoor winter fun Virginia has to offer. Virginia’s Blue Ridge and Allegheny Mountains are home to four ski resorts that offer downhill skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing. Fortunately, for our residents they are all just a day trip away from Embrey Mill. It’s fun for the whole family from beginner skiers to the most experienced. The dates of the national Cherry Blossom Festival will vary each year depending on the weather, but the best time to visit is usually March 15 – April 16. However, if you want to avoid the large crowd of tourists, living at Embrey Mill, puts you in a central location to other various cherry blossom destinations.
